I’m Nancy Sepehri, the founder and director of operations. In 2005, I followed my passion for children’s education and opened English Village ELC with the dream of creating a place where every child feels safe, loved, and inspired to learn. With my degree in Early Childhood Education—and a heart full of love for little ones—I wanted to build more than just a childcare center.

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of watching so many children take their first steps into learning, discover their voices, and grow into confident, curious, and kind individuals. Just as meaningful have been the relationships I’ve built with families and teachers, who together make English Village ELC a true community.

My greatest hope is that every child who walks through our doors feels cared for, encouraged, and celebrated for exactly who they are—because these early years are the foundation of a lifetime of learning and happiness.

I began my professional journey with a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, where I developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and systems optimization. While my academic background is rooted in engineering, my career path evolved toward entrepreneurship and operations — a shift that allowed me to blend technical discipline with business strategy.

For over three decades, I immersed myself in the franchise industry, where I owned and operated multiple franchise locations. This experience provided a rich and hands-on education in everything from operations management, customer service excellence, and team development to marketing strategy, vendor relations, and financial planning. I built a reputation for operational discipline, sustainable growth, and delivering consistent value across various locations.

In 2015, I transitioned into the education sector, bringing this extensive business experience to English Village — an immersive language-learning institution focused on helping individuals improve their English fluency and cultural confidence. As the Head of Operations, I have been responsible for driving organizational efficiency, streamlining internal processes, and leading teams that support both academic success and an exceptional student experience.

My role requires balancing the strategic with the practical — from managing staffing and logistics to shaping long-term operational goals. I’m passionate about fostering a high-quality learning environment where students and staff alike are empowered to grow. My approach is rooted in hands-on leadership, data-informed decision-making, and a deep respect for both education and business excellence.
